Africa is the world’s second-largest and second-most populous continent. It covers six percent of the Earth’s total surface area and more than 20 percent of the total land area. With over one billion people, it accounts for more than 15% of the world’s human population, speaking over 3000 languages in 54 fully recognised sovereign states or countries. It also holds the title as the cradle of mankind and many a visitor here claims some sort of familiarity on arrival. Indeed, this vast continent is also home to more than 1100 mammal species and over 2300 bird species.
Africa boasts the iconic snow-capped mountain of Kilimanjaro and is also home to the highest concentration of mammals on Earth – on the Serengeti Plains. From unique eco-systems like the land of many rivers – Botswana’s World Heritage listed Okavango Delta, to the desert scapes of Namibia, Africa remains a continent of discovery and adventure.
Earth Ark Safaris offer a range of country destinations including Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Uganda, Rwanda, Tanzania, Kenya and Madagascar. Accommodation choices range from high-end luxury lodges to expedition-style safaris. Travellers can choose from a range of safaris that include adventure and horseback safaris, family tours, honeymoons and photographic expeditions.

"And I dream of the vast deserts, the forests, and all of wilderness of our continent, wild places that we should protect as a precious heritage for our children and for our children's children. We must never forget that it is our duty to protect this environment,"
